Viva La Vida!

Embassy of Spain held a Spanish film festival early 2010 to showcase and promote the Spanish culture and films in Singapore. We were glad that we were involved in creating the invitation and booklet for the festival. To support the theme “La Vida” or “Life”, we created an illustration of a “Circle of Life” as the main graphic elements.

The Circle of Life represents three main elements that support the living which are sun, water and land. Inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s work, one of famous Spanish artist, we use the colourful abstract style for the circle. It was created with a reference to Gaudi’s work in Park Güell, Barcelona. The Spanish flag’s red and yellow colour made the invitation and the booklet more attractive with the tri-coloured (sun – yellow, water – blue and land – green) Circle of Life on top of it.
