We were so excited when the Embassy of Spain contacted us to handle the branding for the 20th European Union Film Festival in Singapore. After studying the previous campaigns and doing some research on the film festival and the European culture, we finally took “festival train” as the theme.
Most of the European countries are connected by railways where traveling between each countries are very easy and convenient. We took this basic information and develop it as the theme using the train as the main graphic element, the festival train which carries the films across the Europe countries and other cities like Singapore. Each participated country has its own carriage to showcase the film details, screenshot and synopsis.
We use this main graphic element across all the collaterals. We created the programme booklet, invitation card, posters and website to support the event. With the integrated promotion by our partners in 20Twenty PR, Zo Card and Golden Village, the event came out to be the most successful festival from its 20 years history with 80% tickets sold out even before the festival was officially opened. The website itself drew 1,000 visitors in just one week after it was launched.
